However, I've having success with two squirrel-proof feeders. One is a vertical tube (square section) type, where the perches move down to block the feed holes if anything heavier than a medium sized bird perches. So far, no squirrel has managed to beat this feeder!I also have a round cage feeder which works well overall, although one squirrel did squeeze into it a few months back. (It couldn't squeeze back out and so I had to extricate it by hand.)
