A Pair of Red-shouldered Hawks (1 Viewer)

Late this afternoon I had spotted one of my neighborhood Red-shouldered hawks when another came to join him on his perch ! They both made quite a racket for a minute or so, but then settled down together for a while. The original one (the one on the left) eventually flew to another spot whole the intruder stayed.

OK Paul... I love this one with not just one great looking hawk but two of them! They are really beautiful looking .. outstanding shot...

Thanks Gaye, and you're right Ashley. These birds seem to be very expressive. They can really look different, depending on the pose they strike. Here's a second (less sharp) of the same two,
with the one on the left looking very much like a Northern Harrier.
At that angle he seems to have a facial disk !

Thanks everyone. I do like the image, but it could definitely be sharper. That's what happens I guess when you shoot at approx 60x (camera and scope combined) at 1/23 of a second !

Yes, very expressive indeed. They each have their own personality! Thanks very much Paul.
