Hello everyone.

In Kazakhstan, in May, in the Korgalzhyn Nature Reserve, I saw several Warblers.

Acrocephalus dumetorum or Iduna caligata, Both?

Can you help me identify them?

With thanks.

2 looks like a booted on face pattern, poss. also 3.
4 looks like a paddyfield warbler to me and with no. 1 i'm unsure, extent of undertail coverts not visible and bill structure dubious.

2 and 4 look fine for caligata IMO.
3 I am unsure but I am struggling to rule out a Phyllosc although the lores appear extensively pale (better for an Iduna)
1 I think is dumetorum on colours tones and bill size/structure.

More images of 1 and 3 would be welcome.

That's what I was wondering too... Is this really an all dark bill or a trick of the light? Would be a Chiffchaff ssp. then, wouldn't it?

No easy pics due to the harsh light.

First of all thank you for your answers.
I will see to find more pictures of 1 and 3 if I can ^^
For the light, sorry, but Kazakhstan in May is quite strong :)

ok and thank you Roland.
Here are two photos where we see the throat and the primaries of the N ° 3, for the 1 I look in the pile of photos.
thanks for the help.
