I won't have much time that week but intend to tag a week on before or after. I have never been to the States birding - just a week visiting Disneyland in Florida with a day and a few hours birding grabbed here and there. That and a nasty twitching habit has meant a number of American birds seen but the breeding list of Massachusetts still has about 75 species that I have not seen. So a few questions:-

(i) am I right that I am better off tagging on a week at the start between 5 and 11 June than at the end?

(ii) I am happy to travel say a few hundred kms - what recommendations have people got for sites/locations? [QUOTE="Paul Chapman, post: 3266328, member: 69491"] I am likely to be on a course in Boston between 12 and 18 June next year. So a few questions:- (i) am I right that I am better off tagging on a week at the start between 5 and 11 June than at the end? (ii) I am happy to travel say a few hundred kms - what recommendations have people got for sites/locations? Should I travel further?
