Message: <blockquote data-quote="ceasar" data-source="post: 3210499" data-attributes="member: 26155">The replacement for mine also came from Japan via Nikon in California and from there to me.  From what I can tell Nikon Australia used the same procedure that Nikon America used when I sent mine in for repairs.  It worked very efficiently for me.  Maybe it is now their standard procedure world wide?  Vortex had a lot of problems with a wandering diopter in the focus wheel of their 6.5x32 when they first released it.  They solved the problem and a couple of years later closed them out.  A lot of people love them.I suspect problems with this complex type of diopter involve quality control and yours was an early model judging from its SN.Bob</blockquote>
