Your input has been both interesting and helpful from my angle.I believe my Nikon contact ordered a replacement pair after my first contact with her regarding the problems I was having just in case I did need to return them. They did have the techs look at them with a view to repair them but that's not too satisfactory when a unit ships faulty.Mollycoddle ha ha yes, I got that from my late wise old grandma, it's a good one. She had plenty of gems of wisdom, one I like and often implement is "you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar".All appears well with the new pair so I'm pretty happy and due to the help from the nice lady at Nikon I don't feel put out by the experience.Cheers</blockquote>
