Again... Ethiopia, Bale Mountains Highlands (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Again a question regarding identification of bird in Ethiopia...

These 4 pictures were taken in the very Highlands of Bale Mountains National Park (above 3500masl) in November 2020.

They were birds from the same group. The 2 last pictures are a little bit blurry, sorry about that, but they are the only ones I have of the birds from the back...

It could be, because not too far was this bird looking like a female Ethiopian Siskin. I never noticed they had such swift tail type though...

Face and eye almost reminsicent of a Rosefinch too.

This picture of the same bird I was assuming is the female Ethiopian Siskin.

I don't see any Rosefinch in the book "Birds of the Horn of Africa"...

Sorry to confuse you, it's just a comparison with a bird from another region.
