I spoke too soon as it's been snowing for the last hour! About an inch on the ground and looking out my hall window halfway up the stairs it's got a 10cm drift on the glass! I ventured out onto the meadow when it started, thinking I might quickly dash across to the retail park over the river but I couldn't see the frozen puddles going down to the foot tunnel and ended up on my back and whacked my elbow (still a bit sore now, it's going to be bruised tomorrow!) and then only made it halfway across the meadow as it was a horizontal blizzard out there and in just a few minutes one side of my body was completely caked white with snow so decided against going further. Coming back my glasses were plastered with snow and I had to really strain hard to see that there wasn't any traffic coming when I crossed the road at my house! Has eased off a bit but still coming down.
