Alosterna tabacicolor? (Cambs UK) (1 Viewer)

Hi All
I think this one is right. I found it hunting through a hawthorne bush looking for little grubs.
Could someone please confirm ID?

I think this is —

Stenocorus meridianus , because of the tapering body shape and the black markings on the leg joints .This species is quite variable in colour but the ones I have seen match yours .​

I think you are right. In my defence I was relying on my "new Brock", unfortunately the photo and description are "misleading" to say the least. I appreciate your help on this.

For the longhorn beetles I use the Field Studies Council guide and then Cerambycidae | UK | Ukbeetlesbum to check. I haven't got the new Brock but I have the pisces publication (2019) and thought it to be not too bad for the species groups I know (Butterflies, Dragonflies, Orthoptera) and didn't need a new book for but I struggle with the image sizes / angles and minimal text for the groups I don't know well and ended up buying specialist books for the other groups (where available!).

I am coming to the same conclusion...................................
