Amedee Islet New Caledonia Pelagic Bird ID Help (1 Viewer)

Hi All.

This forum has been so helpful to me and I want to thanks everyone who takes the time to help a newbie. Attached are the photos I took from a speeding boat of what eBird says might be a Brown Noddy or a Wedge Tailed Shearwater. I am leaning toward Brown Noddy due to the shape of the wings in flight. However I realize it could be an entire different bird so I am asking the group for help.

I have no field experience with the species there, but I get the impression of a shearwater hear.
I would expect the noddy to be longer tailed even in this angle.
But please wait for a confirmation from somebody knowing the species...
