Its field of view is only 366' (Leupold site lists it at 420 but that isn't correct) I can tell a huge difference in fFOV between it and the monarch. If the FOV was really 420 I wouldn't be able to tell much difference from the 435 of the M7. 366' is not bad at all, just not great
Thanks kkokkolis and jremmons...you guys have just made my decision as hard as it was before lol. I really like both the M7 and the Viper. All the reason kkokkolis stated are the same things I like about it, plus very wide field of view. The viper has the warranty that may be worth the extra money. I think for an a little bit more the viper is the better choice just for the simple fact that if I get mad and throw them at my dog and break them, the'll replace them for free, the only "but" in this is that the vipers are heavier and seem to be about twice as large as the monarchs, so they do not win the light compact contest. Does anyone know about the EO Ranger ED 8x32 as being the same as the viper 8x32 just with different skin? It look like a mini vortex vulture EDIT: Phil I just saw your post, thank you. Im going to give the leupold Mojave one more look today, but will probably end up with the M7. The mojave didn't seem to work for me when I first tried it. Ill fiddle with it more today and maybe Ill end up with it. I really wanted to like this one.
