Can someone please identify this hawk? Taken in Port Credit Ontario in April.
Thanks
Chris

An immature Accipiter. The lack of 'blobbiness' on the chest/upper belly and the finer streaking on the lower belly would normally be a good indicator of Cooper's hawk. But the tail-tip structure does look better for sharp-shinned hawk. So I'll stop there - and wait for it to turn and come back for better views :)

I'll go for Cooper's, because of the breast pattern, plus the outer tail feathers do look shorter than the ones next to them. The notch in the tail may simply be due to damage
