In the pot this am, have played around with the contrast and mid-tone, to bring out the patterning, can anyone help please?

Yup - definite headache that one! So little to go on, and tough to tell whether it's a pale moth, worn moth, or poorly lit moth. Assuming it's either lighting or wearing, I'll stick my neck out for Uncertain/Rustic on the basis of what little pattern I can see.
Let's see what other offers are on the table!

Mouse Moth for me too - had my first last night, took a while to get there, but shiny appearance, unmarked apart from the three small dots on each wing, diagnostic I believe.

So... I was a little off then?
Not familiar with Mouse Moth yet. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...

Another headache macro, shot on the 15th July, once again, I have juggled slightly with the contrast and mid-tones, to try and emulate the ''gold'' look that was very evident at the time...cheers
