I am glad to hear you have the 8X30 on order.  I believe I did more than elude to the relationship between the B3, the Monarch 7 30mm and the Lynx in post number 22.  I hope you have a good memory of what you saw with the Monarch 7 8X30 and you can test if the B3 has the same glare issues you saw the Monarch.  My Monarch 7 8X30 was purchased several months (from B & H in Sept., 2014) after your testing and I have not had the glare issues to the extent described in the early reviews.  Maybe Kamakura has made some improvements in that area.  The base price of the Maven B3 is about $225 more than the Monarch 7 8X30 currently at B & H.  It will be interesting to know if that gets you more than custom colors.  The Monarch 7 8X30 is a very good product so I expect you will be happy with the B3.  As I recall, you liked the Monarch other than how it performed in certain glare situations.</blockquote>
