This was in my moth trap this morning.

Looks like the species I had out in the field yesteday The red in one of the wing shots is actually part of its leg, wings were plain..

Aiolopus sp - I think thalassinus based on the hind femur being slim. I make the ratio of length to width c3.9 and (using any of the three different keys I have for Aiolopus) a ratio >3.7 eliminates strepens which is the other species in the list for Cyprus.

There are a couple of differences to distinguish in the two grasshoppers.

(1) Oedipoda species have a kink in the upper edge of the hind femur
(2) Ailopus species have a well marked temporal foveola (in front of the eye and above the antenna)

As the weather here is not conducive to fieldwork I've made a little image from your two insects to illustrate!
