Also, the long hind toe nail is visible.#1 could be a Tree Pipit but the face pattern and flank streaking looks perhaps better for Meadow imo.
In the 2nd image it is more easily seen, but also visible on the 1st.I can’t see any hind claws though - maybe just on the second image if it’s not vegetation but perhaps I need a bigger screen view
I am not disputing the ID! (Major Mitchell? 😉) - as I said, I also thought they are both Meadow PipitsI

If you read again I'm not saying you are, the original ID is yours, unless you're disputing your own ID.I am not disputing the ID! (Major Mitchell? 😉) - as I said, I also thought they are both Meadow Pipits
? My comment wasnt a/ directed at you particularly and b/ wasnt disputing anything but another member confirmed your ID rather than mine so I just clarified my first post in case it wasnt understood. If you read again I'm not saying you are, the original ID is yours, unless you're disputing your own ID.
You really should read your posts before posting, if you look again you quoted me on your reply. If it wasn't intended at me than no one would've guessed that...? My comment wasnt a/ directed at you particularly and b/ wasnt disputing anything but another member confirmed your ID rather than mine so I just clarified my first post in case it wasnt understood.
It’s not a big deal.
As I read it that member was giving a 'like' to the hind claw aspect, not to the ID. I don't think it's rude, not more than the way you said that the hind claw was 'maybe' my imagination (indeed you can read it many ways and that's one of them).I only quoted your post because it was relevant to what I wanted to say - my post was in response to the member confirming your ID when both ID this the same! - when someone gives a ‘like’ on an ID post (ignoring the original answer, it usually means they prefer the second ID as in this case) It’s quite straightforward - I was just clarifying my original ID since my questioning the visibility of the hind claw presumably gave the impression I disagreed with you.
Ps please don’t tell me to read my posts - that’s just rude 👍
Seriously, you seem determined to misinterpret my posts! ‘Maybe’ as in maybe I CAN SEE IT but wasn’t sure whether I was looking at vegetation! Not ’maybe you can’. How do I know what you can see or are referring to ?🙄As I read it that member was giving a 'like' to the hind claw aspect, not to the ID. Yes, let's move on please. ID is settled and that's what's important.Seriously, you seem determined to misinterpret my posts! ‘Maybe’ as in maybe I CAN SEE IT but wasn’t sure whether I was looking at vegetation! Not ’maybe you can’. How do I know what you can see or are referring to ?🙄
I think we are done here.
Have a lovely day 🙂
Yes, Sergio, both Anthus pratensis (and apologies for the unpleasantries) - thank you for posting your images 🙂So...both are Anthus pratensis then, right? Thank you all for your answers!
