Any birding guides in Qatar? (1 Viewer)

A friend and I are going to be transitting through Qatar in October, and we're looking to spend a day and do some birding. In particular, Irakhiya Farm looks like the place to go. Are there any birding guides in Qatar, or even a local birder that would be available on a weekday to take us out there and any other worthwhile spots?

I'm working on a field guide for Qatar. Octoebr shoukd be passage season, so maybe terns in the beach or a local park for some flycatchers. I should finish up by the end of this month

Hi Koren: I will also be in Qatar in October for a few days and I am looking for a local bird guide for a day of birding. Did you have any luck finding someone? Thanks. Phil

Hi Phil, no, we didn't find anyone, and so decided that it was all too much trouble just for one transit day. I don't know if there are any local bird guides in Qatar.
