Any tips about this little bird (1 Viewer)

First of all Im sorry if Im posting in the wrong section, but I was wondering if someone could help me with some tips about this little friend I found.

Last friday one of the doors of my house was open and this little fella came in and he refuses to leave, I mean I dont mind him looking around, so I wanna provide him with the best food and care for him.

First of all, I dont know what kind of bird he is but he looks like a canary to me but Im not sure, maybe someone can help me identify him, I attached some pictures of him:

Also this is the food I put for him, here in Mexico is called "alpiste" I think the english name is canary grass seed, here is a picture of it: Alpiste

So my main questions are:
- What kind of bird is he?
- Is canary grass seed a good food for him or should I give him something else.
- What else can he eat?


Any other tips you guys can give me would be greatly apreciated!!
