Figured I'd join in the fun and post my sightings for the year. Seems like it'll be fun to share with others and compare
Area: All of these species were recorded in and around central Ohio in the United States.
Total (so far): 91 species over 28 eBird checklists. 23 new lifers!
Note that some of these species had been encountered earlier than they are listed, I just didn't do a checklist that included them for a good while. I'll probably be missing some, too. I'm far from a diligent recorder! Also, lifers are marked with a star or something (if I remember).

That was a lot of typing! Next time I shouldn't wait eight months to post my list, I guess! I'll go ahead and post some highlights, too, I suppose. The first ones that come to mind are the yellow warbler (spotted the day after my wedding, on our honeymoon!) and the ruby-throated HB. I've seen plenty of RTHBs flitting around flowers and even fighting over nectar, but this one was perched on a branch and singing directly over my head! Took me a minute to ID it because it seemed so out of place! Anyway, hope you (the figurative you) have enjoyed reading or skimming through my list. Feel free to let me know about any mistakes or typos and I can try to correct them.
Happy birding!
