The 'prudent punter' is likely to do considerable research before shelling out four-figure sums on optics, which is where i came in a few years ago.Discussion of optics is just part of a wider interest; perhaps as others may discuss one camera bag over another, or the durability of a pair of walking boots. It's good that it happens, for those who want to be part of it or view it.
