I am a recent arrival to BF BF and have used the forum a huge amount over the last 4 weeks. I suspect that you guys (both ladies and gentlemen), who post on the BF BF, are not typical. However, if you Google binocular forum, there is not a great deal of choice unless you are into astronomy. BF BF is by far the best forum on the Web for those who are looking for binos either primarily or entirely for birding. When researching a new pair of binos, I obtained more useful information from BF BF than from any other source on the Web. It is as a result of posts on this forum that I ended up buying a pair of SW EL 10X50. And, yes, I was sufficiently struck by recent very positive posts on BF BF, about the Zeiss SF 10X42 (ignoring the staining issues both on the armour coating and on the hinge), to go back for my third visit to Lakeside Optics today to directly compare the Zeiss SF 10X42 against SW EL 10X50 to make ABSOLUTELY sure that I really had purchased the best pair of binos FOR ME. It is really great that a team of enthusiasts take the time to discuss binos in detail on the Web. In my opinion, you all (as a team) provide the premier 'technical advisory service' for binos on the Web. In addition, when I have posted comments or questions, you have provided enormous help and support by providing interesting and useful advice both pro and against the decision that I finally made. I suspect that i will seldom visit BF BF now, having made my decision (and purchase), but I am certain that there are many 'migrant' visitors, who will use the Forum just as I have but who will probably be less vocal. All this by way of saying a huge thank you to all you posters on BF BF for all your good counsel. Whatever happens, keep the debates going!!!! I am absolutely certain that they are much appreciated by a large 'silent' audience. Very best wishes and good viewing Rolstone
