Before I found bird forum binocular section I would have laughed off any suggestion of buying bins more than $500. Now after reading thousands of posts I got an appreciation for Alpha bins. I purchased my Leica two weeks back and the thought of buying a Leica wouldn't even have crossed my mind if not for the crazy folks who argue about bins in BF.  Woe betide you. I still can't understand my fascination with binoculars. I suspect I have always been fascinated with bins even when I was young. I just didn't have the wherewithal then. Now it is alarming that the fascination is turning into an obsession. Just this second I checked the viewer count for all BF forums <a href="http://www.birdforum.net/forum.php" target="_blank">http://www.birdforum.net/forum.php</a>. Binoculars led the way with 69 viewing. Bird Identification Q&A was second with 37 Viewing. Every time I checked  Binoculars have more people viewing than other sections. Proof we are not that strange.</blockquote>
