Hmmm.How about finding out via the Internet just what a fabulous variety of both rare and common birds can be seen just about every day in my favourite English County: Gloucestershire.  There are many eyes out there and the internet enables others quickly to be alerted so that they can both see and appreciate what they would otherwise never even know about.Yes, that for me is the 2008 highlight, plus meeting up with ' butterfly and bird ' enthusiast friends I'd long since lost contact with but, again thanks to t'net, restablishing those old friendships and making new ones....
