Asian Brown or Dark-Sided flycatcher? (Singapore) (1 Viewer)

Hi!

Would appreciate any help to confirm the ID of this bird - is this an Asian Brown or Dark-sided Flycatcher?

The wing tips look fairly long, and there are some dark streaks on the chest, thus I'm leaning towards dark-sided. But I might just be hoping for this to be a dark-sided, and may not be entirely objective =p

Thanks!

(Again, apologies for the poor image quality, as these were taken using my phone.)

Looks fine for Dark sided/Siberian to me - primaries longer than exposed tertials, eye-ring wider behind eye than in front, sullied underparts and indistinct streaking on the flanks.

I saw Asian Brown quite often in India and my memory is of a bird with a cleaner breast and flanks than this looks. So I have to say that I am leaning heavily toward Dark Sided.

Dumpy looking bird with quite heavy streaks and a big head and big eye. Asian Brown is more well proportioned and less streaked... I would say.
I noticed there are some other contenders in the area (similar to Dark-sided) but I think you are right here.

cheers,
G
