I've been conducting my own survey of these terads for about 5 years anyway, so it's no big deal (hopefully!). I actually first visited these tetrads for the Breeding birds of Lancashire and North Merseyside survey a few years back, and I've been hooked on them ever since. It is amazing what you can find close to home, and the surveys are a good encouragement to start looking locally. For example, yesterday I recorded 4 Stonechats and 3000 Pink-footed Geese (on the ground), and today a nice flock of 45 Tree Sparrows, and all within two or three miles of my home in St Helens.Oh well, here's to another 4 years of hell :C .
