Missed two nights due to lots of rain but last night was advertised as rain free so put the trap out, a good start with plenty of moths but shortly after 23.00 a cloud burst of 12 minutes duration. Trap and I both soaked. Interestingly even in the deluge moths continued to come in and I continued till just after 01:00. Ended with 233 moths of 47 species. First garden Flounced Rustic (only one) and European Corn-borer. NFY Angle Shades. Marbled Beauty, Turnip Moth, Iron Prominent, Orange Swift, Latticed Heath, Gypsy Moth, Dusky Thorn, Scalloped Oak, White Point in the more unusual or prettier section. Biggest numbers were Common Wainscot 38, LB-bYU 29 and Straw Underwing 20.
