Bit of allsorts today....started of slightly drizzling as I walked to work at 9am then dried up. Then started raining heavier and then, mid-afternoon, it got really hot and muggy and the sun came out! It's now a touch chillier with a brisk wind and blue skies & cloud.

Not sure what the forecast is for tomorrow but I'm not bothered.....I'm off work :t:

Rain overnight and a bit of drizzle first thing. Turned into hot sunshine with quite a gusty breeze this afternoon. Lovely day.

Today is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!! :t: It's grey, occasional light showers, bit of a breeze but best of all? It's COOL!!! For the first time in weeks I am not sticky and sweating buckets :-O

Roll on the autumn and the cooler - more bearable - weather! o:)

Started off beautifully....sun, reasonably warm (temp got to 20C), the there was an almighty, squally shower which threw down 11mm in 20 minutes and dropped the temperature to 14C! Sun's back now, but not the temperature.

The little birds reappeared very quickkly once the rain was over.

Well we had something yesterday that we normally don't have. Tornado Warning! :eek!:

I heard it on the radio at work and the funnel cloud was going right for our community! I tried to call home repeatedly ... no answer on land line and the cell was off. No one calling me from home either. :eek!:

After the storm passed through where I work I drove home and the closer I got the more tree limbs on the road. Not three blocks from home were crews clearing fallen trees from the street and lawns.

A block from home was a tree down on a home garage. :eek!:

Here? Two medium sized branches from the weeping willow and many from the birch tree. The phone line had been damaged from the trees down farther up the street. Why had not anyone phoned me?

I didn't think it was ~that~ important! ... sez my dear, sweet Mike. :'D

In summary, I passed my stress test for the next 13 life-times and Mike remained un-injured even after the storm. ;)

~~~~~> Appears the funnel cloud did not touch down so technically there was no tornado and no one was injured.
