Hello.
About 7:30 PM this evening I saw what appeared to be a Canadian Warbler. I could only see it through my eyes and binoculars. Too quick for photos.
Black auriculars and moustache. Yellow front throat and yellow breast. Light gray on top of nape and back. But there were these little one inch vertical dark lines at the top of its breast. They were spread out like a necklace, but did not go all the way down its breast.
The bird flew energetically about from tree to tree, sometimes on the trunk. at times on top of the branch, sometimes on the bottom of the branch. It never stayed in one place more than a second or two. It left after about 5 minutes.
It moved East to West toward the setting sun, 20 to 40 feet up in the canopy.
Sorry about the imprecision of description. I'm a non-techie.
Any ideas? Thank you.
