Question: I have a great deal of mostly woodpeckers that are flying full speed into my large southerly facing plate glass windows. Needless to say few survive. It seems to mostly happen mostly in the morning when the sun is reflecting off the windows.

I’m not sure if it’s the reflection off the windows or insects (flies and/or moths) that are resting on the windows.

I’m looking for a solution to deter the birds from committing suicide. Any help would be much appreciated!

Stop Brexit!
Your best option is to hang some hawk silhouettes in the windows - birds will see these and swerve away before colliding.
