Morning All,
It looks like she is testing the nest edge front to camera. She nearly went at 07.15 teetering very close to the edge.
Exciting!!
See you later

OH reckons that it will be several days yet, not sure on what he is basing his idea, but is going for sometime on Friday!...or even later....

I'll plump for:

Tuesday mid morning (say abot 11.00) or after tea (about 17.00)

9.11am. Just gone off screen to the left. Is this it or is she/he just being adventurous.

9.31am. Came back down the branch into the nest. It obviously feels safe there in the high wind.

9.38am. Disappeared again.

10.02 She has been going to the edge so many times, and stretching her wings. I wonder if the high wind is putting her off going for it? Tis very breezy there.

Here too. Ive tried another route through the NFG New Forest Gateway & that's out as well. The other web cams are working so this looks like a problem with the NF link.
This is very frustrating, today of all days. :C

I am relieved it's not just me, then. I have just tried again and still no luck. Fingers crossed it is fixed asap.

A women from the NF CEO, is looking into it. She will try & get information directly from the site & ring me back.

I hope your OH is right Wendy, that should give the engineers time to fix the link!
This will be a huge disappointment if we miss her fledge. Today has already been an anticlimax.

Ironically, I just got a great reply from Carnyx films who own the copyright. I emailed them a couple of weeks ago asking if I could post still images on the forum for discussion purposes.
They apologised for the delay & said they are happy for me to do this & asked if I wanted better images directly from the nest.

Everyone involved in this project sound very helpful, I'm sure this set back will be just as frustrating for them.
I wish the team at the New Forest every success in recovering the live link.
Fingers crossed

Good news update
Just heard back from NFG. It seems the problem is web based, as the streaming to the visitor centre is fine. They have notified the web team & will look into it asap.

They managed to speak to warden Carina Lewington who said the chick is still in the nest doing her usual flapping! Awww!
Carina estimates the chick has a few days yet before she is ready to go.
This is great news.

Honestly, I'm so stressed out again! lol!

The last time I felt this anxious was when a Marsh Harrier nest was destroyed by criminals.

Hopefully, this will be a Happy ending.
