Also 1 Pied Flycatcher and 2 Spotted Flycatchers at Beer Cemetery fields, also 2 Tree Pipits over buzzing this morning.

Hi Bun,

Sounds a good migrant trap for us to visit when we are down at Colyton at the end of next week.

Looked on the map, but can't see a cemetery at Beer - could you give us directions?

Thanks and good birding,

John

Beer Head this morning was again quite productive with 20+ Willow Warblers, 2 Whitethroat, 2 Blackcap, 7 Wheatear, 3 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Spotted Flycatcher and a relatively confiding male Redstart. A Tree Pipit flew over. While on the scrape at Colyford Common there was a Ruff.

I can see your ringed plover and raise you four more, saw 5 at BHM this morning. Only a single wood sand, and a single greenshank there for me though Phil. Three common sand and I only made 25 dunlin but they were on the move the whole time. Wonderful morning to be sat soaking up the atmosphere! four black tailed godwits there too. Green woodpecker on way down to the seaton marshes hide.

Here's to a productive autumn for birds in the Backwater!

Popped down this morning due to distinct lack of Little Stints in Somerset. At Black Hole Marsh:

Little Stint 2 juvs
Dunlin 31
Ringed Plover 22
Common Sand 5
Ruff 1 juv
Greenshank 1 juv
Redshank 1 juv

Couldn't find any waders in a brief visit to Coly Common around midday, but 3 Wheatears on the boardwalk.

Cheers.

Thanks Sue & Simon, you have done it now, a couple more from a skirmish at Blackhole marsh this evening. The best one I could manage with both in the same shot.
