I have found a back focus issue but it may well be the 40D has a problem tracking a stationary object while sitting on a tripod in Ai servo mode!!!! MAybe you can explain to me how my techuique is at fault and how I should mystically press the shutter button when I have it on a tripod and am using a backfocus chart and it achieves focus a staggering 25mm in front of where the focus spot has locked and it fails like this in a consistent manner. Clearly I am an idiot?</blockquote>
