Because many people rate it as the best flight shot lens in the world.  Take a look at Dick forsmanns site, there are a load of 400 f5.6 shots on there.  Go for a cup of tea while you are waiting for the pics to load though.  Or try searching for 'wrights wanderings in google.   All of the pics on this site are either digiscoped or taken with the 400 5.6 and I believe John has used one shot for 99% of these shots!!   Roy please try not to bed so inflexible and easily led by the camera manufacturers and the majority, listen to others and make your own judgements you might find that you can take something from things you initially thought was a load of tosh.Kev</blockquote>
