UNESCO report and conclusions: http://whc.unesco.org/en/sessions/40COM/documents/ WHC/16/40.COM/7B.Add State of conservation of properties inscribed on the World Heritage List http://whc.unesco.org/archive/2016/whc16-40com-7BAdd-en.pdf pp. 103-106, 104-107/124 w Adobe Acrobat ReaderOutstanding Universal Value (OUV) for this particular occasion, instead of impacts to the habitats recognized under the EU Habitats Directive. http://www.greenpeace.org/eu-unit/Global/eu-unit/reports-briefings/2016/Complaint%20to%20European%20Commission%20-Poland%20forest.pdf Edited a little later: In other words - the ministry of environment claiming (lying) that Białowieża Forest was created by human hand is required to confirm, that Białowieża Forest was NOT created by human hand, but undisturbed natural processes. The exhibition of the ministry of the environment in the parliament: "Bialowieza Forest - forests, natural heritage or cultural heritage of the local population", July 5th, 2016 http://www.sejm.gov.pl/sejm8.nsf/komunikat.xsp?documentId=DE895298474BCC50C1257FE7005AD666 (unfortunately Google doesn't want to translate this webpage, copy and paste is needed) There were rumors, that ministry of environment would like (at least) to convert Białowieża Forest from Natural Heritage Site to mixed site, natural and cultural one or to Cultural Heritage Site (?) (or even delist) to decrease number of prohibitions for i.e. State Forestry Enterprise. NGOs sent complainst to UNESCO probably earlier than ministry of environment invited UNESCO to Białowieża Forest. Third party submissions (NGOs ?) and information provided by the State Party were invalid because i.e. they were telling about impact on the habitats recognized under the EU Habitats Directive instead the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV). This is how PO-PiS hatred may cause Białowieża Forest delisting. Edited next day: Cultural one ? This is nonsense. The fact that the forest was partially demolished by people (managed) is not the reason to treat it as a world heritage site. The ministry of environment wants at least decrease size of the UNESCO site, most likely he dreams about delisting.
