Best adaptor for Sony rx100 iii and ATX 85? (1 Viewer)

Active member
I have a Swarovski ATX85 and my camera is a Sony RX100 iii. I'd quite like to do some digiscoping. I've tried hand holding the camera with mixed results and think I would be better with an adaptor. However, I don't want a complicated set up which would interfere with my using the scope just for watching birds! Also I don't want to spend a fortune. Any suggestions? Thanks

The digidapter is my favourite adapter too, when my focus is primarily on digiscoping, because then I almost never feel the need to take the adapter off to look throught the eyepiece. But I use the Swarovski DCB II is when my focus is primarily on bird watching, because it is much easier to swing the camera away from the eyepiece (and back in front of the eyepiece when needed) then taking the digidapter out of a bag to place it in front of the eyepiece to make a photograph. The digidapter is the most sturdy of the two and much less prone to vibration then the DCB II.

A bonus for the Digidapter is that it allows the RX100 III to be centered behind the eyepiece of the scope even though the tripod screw is off-centered on the camera.
