The critter was half-sunbathing half swimming through the leaf litter, so I stopped and stalked for a better view. Needn't have bothered being so careful though, as soon as the weasel realised I was there it popped out to look at me, about a foot away. I had about ten minutes of him nipping in and out of the hedgerow like this, by the end I was on my knees rustling the leaves to tempt it out again, and it kept coming.
