However, on both the 6x and 8x versions I had, I only had to adjust the diopter once, and they both stayed put thereafter. The center focus is a little stiff too, but the advantage is that the binocular will very likely still be in focus each time you get it out to use it.  I'm glad you got a good glass for your conditions. The Yosemite is a classic for sure. Inexpensive, but not cheap. Pretty good for the price of "WOW" huh?</blockquote>
