The image at 60 is very sharp, to my eye beating leicas and swarovski at 60. Thus i scan at 20 find a bird then zoom in to see the finer detail. One time I visited Porthgwarra in promising conditions and asked the assembled 20+ birders "much doing?" to which they replied quiet just the odd Med. I sat down fixed on the horizon...zoomed in...into 3000 Great Shearwaters that they had ALL missed.
