It was a drizzly day so just took my bins and headed up the lane. First main bird was a Great Spotted Woodpecker, the distinction of being my 1000th roving record. Further up two Treecreepers working there way along some Oaks i nthe hedgerow. I went down another lane where there is a small sheep field, up flew around 25 Meadow Pipits which wsa a nice surprise, plus another couple of Treecreepers in a large behind.Yesterday I went for a short walk in the snow, very picturesque along the river. Getting back to work a small flock of Fieldfares flew over bringing up BIGBY number 100 for the year.GI</blockquote>
