Golden Pheasant (#203) chalked up today by Gary - no need to surpress that site ;)

Luckily, despite thinking about it, he didn't get as far as Cley for the reported Wood Sand ....

After a tough couple of days in the rain in North Norfolk Gary is currently relocating to Minsmere (should be there later today) for Savi's Warbler, Stone Curlew etc). Easterlies from Wednesday onwards are promising.

An afternoon's birding at Minsmere saw Gary add Reed Warbler (#210), Common Tern (#211) and Savi's Warbler (#212), a species he didn't encounter as part of his total of 289 last year.

A full day at Minsmere saw Gary tick Stone Curlew (#213) and Swift (#214) plus seconds of the Savi's Warbler, several Bitterns in flight and 10 Whimbrel migrating north.

With the winds having an easterly element from tomorrow lunchtime Gary is likely to spend a few more days in the Minsmere / Dunwich / Westleton area with targets including Arctic Tern, Garden Warbler, Grasshopper Warbler, Tree Pipit, Whinchat, Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, Hobby and Nightingale.

A frustrating day for Gary in the Stodmarsh / Grove Ferry area today, missing out on Turtle Dove and Grasshopper Warbler but adding Hobby (#221) late on.
