How do these compare to an SV. I've been told about several less expensive models in the past that were near SV quality, when I got a chance to see them first hand, they were far from it. Do these require much fiddling to get a full view with eyeglasses ? The Conquest HD is in the same price range, are the Gold Ring better ?

Thanks Robert

Is this a good price for a NIB Golden Ring 8x32 HD binoculars, really want to pull the trigger, but don't know this is a good price or not? Just want to ask all the experts.

Thanks in advance,

They are ranked 3rd by Allbino's so they are very good binoculars. I don't think they are quite as good as an SV. I think they would be very comparable to the Conquest HD 8x32. Between the two it would probably come down to personal preference. Here is the Allbino's link and a link to a thread on Bird Forum comparing the SV to the GR. Also, a link to the BVD review on the GR 8x42 HD model. Looks like they sold ALREADY.

Eagleoptics has dropped the prices on many of the Kowa BD XD series binoculars. 32mm and 56mm models only. The 42mm models are still full price. For some reason, I can't post a link to their website, but the current prices are....

8x32 BD XD $311.25
10x32 BD XD $318.75
8x56 BD XD $525.00
10x56 BD XD $532.50
12x56 BD XD $540.00

The 32s are about $100 less than what they normally sell for. The 56s are about $175 less.

Vortex Viper 8.5x50

There is an example on E-bay for 299.00. I realize these where blown out at that price years ago, but what do you think about now?
thanks

Amazon.es has a curiously low price for several Nikon Monarch 5's:

Nikon Monarch 5 8x56: 481 €
Nikon Monarch 5 16x56: 615 €
Nikon Monarch 5 20x56: 642 €

Curiously the prices are much lower than in Amazon.co.uk, for example. Not sure how long it will last.

Good for Europe but look here :
(amazon.co.jp)

Wow. Around 350 euro, but VAT would be around 20 %, say, 70 euro, add shipping to Europe and subtract the possible warranty problems...

I purchased both the 8x56, for which I paid 490 euro, and the 16x56 (615 euro).

The 8x56 for use in low light conditions (I have just tried today and I'm happy with the results) and the 16x56 for lazy days when I don't want to carry a telescope but still enjoy some longish range viewing :)

It's funny, being a Republican (not in the American sense), using and enjoying three Monarchs ;)

Great little value!

If you like excellent sharp focus, very natural colors, wonderful resolution, great low light capability, ergonomic eye cups that are easy to obtain a quick FOV, 50 to 70mm IPD (great for kids usage), fully multi-coated lenses that are crystal clear, Nitrogen filled water and fog proof assembly that is very light and easy to hold, well-built, solid body and a 3D DOF effect that to me, is Equal to the Swaro Habichts (at 1\6 the cost), take a look HERE under sportsmanssupply2 seller listings!

These Leupold BX-1 Yosemite 8x30 #67725’s are simply a "Steal of a Deal"! Wholesaler bid listings have been going a week per unit (new BX-1 listing added every day) and winning bids have been averaging $65-$75 for these $150 MSRP BX-1’s. Shipping is very quick and include original, unopened NIB OEM BX-1’s with full papers, accessories and Lifetime Warrant. At this price, truly a Great Deal for a really great little porro! :t:

Is this a good price for a Mint Conditioned German Made (not Japanese Made) Minox HG MIG 10x43? For the experts that are having Minox HG MIG 10x43, how does it compare with other alpha binos (Leica Ultravid HD, Nikon EDG, Zeiss FL, etc)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mint-MINOX-...828061?hash=item235c25abdd:g:gU4AAOSwhcJWNRuL

Thanks in advance!

Please understand, there are no German made Minox binoculars but only Japanese made HG BR MIG Minox binoculars, "Made in Germany" does not mean Made in Germany. It only means Made worked in Germany.

Down here they cost round 1.600,00 euro's so this price is more than reasonable.

You can compare it with the Nikon EDG.
Superb!!
