Hello Jack,

Noticed the Viglink referral in your eBay link. Is that something you added or is it coming from somewhere else?

Best,
Jerry

Jerry,

Your comment is the first time I heard of "viglink"! Don't know what that is (other than googling it), but If it's in my attached link (copied the url), I didn't add it!! Let me know if this is harmful...I'll remove the post!!!

Ted,

Poor joke re:Jack of all trades. Apology extended....

Viglink is not harmful, no need to worry on that account. It's just another method for monetizing the Internet. There's a small fee paid every time someone clicks the link to get through to the final page. I've followed it and others growth and I did not think it was likely you had inserted it.

Instead, either the seller or more likely eBay popped it in when you copied the url as a way of gaining revenue from what I view as the effort of others. (In this case, you.) You copied, you posted, you have the reputation, Birdforum offers the resources and additional reputation. But no one has offered you a small fee for your work. So, unless Birdforum has started to use Viglink, it's a vulture enterprise that profits from the labor of others.

At least, that's my opinion :>)

Best,
Jerry

In fact, as I think more ..... Birdforum is a likely candidate. In Chrome you can see the Viglink by watching the address bar after you click the HERE in your post. In any case, either it came with your copy or someone is adding it to BF posts.

Thanks for the clarification and heads up Jerry...this WWW stuff gets crazy and I certainly don't pretend to begin to understand it all...

Yep, I'm certainly no "Jack of That Trade" (no apology needed)!!! :t: ;)

Thanks Broeder for the heads up on the AO Intrepids deal at Eagle Optics! That seems like a really good deal considering the reviews and the warranty.

Meopta Meostar B1 8x42

The eBay seller "canadiansportsoptics" have some Meopta Meostar B1 8x42 on stock http://www.ebay.com/itm/Meopta-Meostar-B1-8-X-42-Binoculars-Brand-New-in-Box-/151984712625?hash=item2362feabb1:g:N5MAAOSwiCRUigUc

I exchanged a few messages with the seller. The bin is listed for $650, but an offer of $575 will be accepted according to seller. This is a great prize for a brand new item. The serial numbers are in the range 1214XX to 1219XX. I emailed Meopta to check the SN's and I got prompt responses, but they could't find the serial numbers. If anyone is interested check with the seller before buying.
