I just received my 10x42s today and my initial impression is positive. The only thing i don't like is the focus wheel is stiff and focusing speed a little slow. The locking diopter works great and is a nice touch. I already submitted my rebate form online and Amazon is listed as one of the online retailers. Amazon has the 8x42 for $208 now (at least at this moment).

I switched to Legend M's for my car and home bins when those were dirt cheap after rebate. My main issue is the focus wheel in those as well. One pair is alright, but the other is super stiff. So much so that I've thought about seeing if it can be covered under warranty.

It should be covered under warranty, I would be curious if they send you a new one, or perhaps send you an Engage model of the same configuration. If you send them in to Bushnell, let us know how it works out.
