Depends what state you're in. For MA they charge tax. Tax laws vary by state.

An 8x32 SF and 10x42 Terra ED would make a nice combo.

IMO I think perhaps $1200 will be the basement price, no lower. They would sell out even at even $1300.
It will be curious to see, seems like there many for sale in the UK as of late, likely being sold to get their hands on the latest and greatest coming in August.

Here is a new Celestron 9 x 33 Granite in the UK for £99:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Celestron-...N&qid=1589631120&s=merchant-items&sr=1-1&th=1

Unfortunately only 14 mm eye relief, but if you don't need glasses.

If you purchase, would be interested in your opinion of them.

Good spot, though not sure if the 88% positive seller feedback is anything to be concerned about? There's also the Celestron Granite ED 7x33 here for £160 :
https://www.365astronomy.com/celestron-granite-ed-7x33-roof-prism-binoculars.html

Celestron do generally have poor reputation for sample variation though.

Midway USA has the best prices on Leupold Pro Guide 4 HDs I’ve seen. 8x32 for $349 and 8x42 for $399. If you buy before 5/31 you can also get a $99 Leupold Pro Guide Binocular pack via mail in coupon. These are really good values for the money.

Binoculars Accessories

Eyecups for EDG 32mm and 42mm (as a side note, no other alpha binos have better eyecups):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-of-Nikon-EDG-twist-up-eye-cups-for-32mm-binocular-1026/363006527072?hash=item5484e00660:g:1t0AAOSw-XRez5eO
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-of-Ni...527058?hash=item5484e00652:g:sxoAAOSwE89ez5gf
These are not easy to obtain, unless you are willing to send your EDG to Nikon. The same seller also has a Swaro functional case for the EL/SV/FP 32mm that's lighter and easier to use than the current SV/FP case, as well as several other binos accessories (such as Leica, Zeiss and Swaro neck straps and cases).

Contoured neck strap

The EDG eyecups mentioned in the previous post are already gone but the same person also has two Leica straps for sale at a bargain price:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Leica-Neoprene-binocular-camera-carrying-strap-1015-1016/363006527055?hash=item5484e0064f:g:l3AAAOSwN1Jez4Ir
This comfort strap is hard to find and is not cheap (expect to pay about 60-70$ for one: https://leicastoremiami.com/products/leica-neck-strap-for-ultravid-binocular?variant=3516367749),
but it is my favorite strap (together with the strap that comes with the Canon 10x42L), and of course it can be used with almost any other binos not only with Leica's.

Norm and Cottonbase (post #3955): I recently gifted my Granite 9x33 to a friend. I never could get a sharp enough view out of them. Not sure whether it was sample variation or just the 9x33 format. I kept the granite 7x33 which is mechanically and optically a good sample with focusing nearly as smooth as a Nikon EDG. Not everyone is a fan of the 7x33 image outside the @ 50% sweet spot but I find the huge FoV and DoF useful, immersive and enjoyable. At 160 pound or @ USD $200 the 7x33 IMO would be a very good buy assuming you get a good sample.
