Kowa has instant rebates on 33mm and 44mm Genesis models which drop the prices to $799 and $999 respectively. Available on Amazon direct from Kowa.

A buddy of mine interested in that deal. I'm coming over tomorrow to help him install the brake pads and hankook tires on his truck. He recently got into photography so it is essential to have nice equipment.

If I read you right, I'm with you. My eyes are worse than my best binos now. :-C

An unfortunate part of aging, among so many others.
My acuity and accomodation aren't what they used to be. I see OK and still enjoy high quality binoculars but 7x doesn't help with it's slightly reduced magnification and I doubt I could appreciate the optical improvement over my MHG 8x42s.

Historically I've been a fan of 7x bins however and the EDGs are probably about as good as they get.

That might explain why I like the 8.5x so much. I looked for Neowise tonight without luck (clouds). But I put a spotting scope on Saturn and the rings were super clear!

We all hang in there.

That would be the one to buy, not the other one available on the bay, M...f is a real sleazeball seller.

Who is Msarif? Is Msarif a birdforum member? Lots of binoculars for sale he seems to be taken by the listed EDG ..Based on my personal experience these are better than Swarovski, Leica, Zeiss, and Meopta in the same category.

I have talked to other sellers, that is how I got my opinion, I would never buy from him.

The only other binocular reseller on eBay that sells more than Msarif is Lozack-g I’d gamble both of them are frequent visitors of birdforum.
