Binocular Sightings (1 Viewer)

In a recent pelagic I saw 2 SF’s, a couple of Opticron, x2 Swaro and a Meopta Meostar 10x32.

This weekend I spotted a few more more Nikon Monarchs (42mm)
2 of the latest version Vortex Viper HD
1 Zeiss SF 10x42
1 beat up old Swift Porro

The rarity was a Kowa DCF 45mm which I just googled to get the model name.
I noticed Kowa on the side of the gray body, but didn't know the specific model.
It's an older design which caught my eye. It's rather large and bulky.

Think I'll only report rarities and/or unfamiliar models going forward.

Found a rare bird in my area: Brewster's Warbler, a hybrid of Blue-winged Warbler and Golden-winged Warbler

Yesterday I saw a Zeiss SF
A Leica APO Televid 77, the owner was very kind showed me several shorebirds through it, as I don't own a scope or have a good knowledge of shorbird ID.
A Swarovski scope of some kind
A Vortex Diamondback 32mm
A Nikon roof
And some others, I didn't pay a lot of attention

I also found a Golden-winged Warbler, which is a rarity for my area and a lifer

Yesterday. A Rusty-tailed Flycatcher - here in Kolkata, India, two Taiga Flycatchers a few Black-hooded Orioles and a much used warrior - Bushnell Porros. Belong a friend who is a long time Birder

Mostly Monarch 5 and lower cost Vortex. The only standout I've come across is the original Cabela's branded 10x42 Meopta.

Jafritten. The eyecups are fine. In either case the user was a spectacles wearer. Hence the eyecups are positioned down.

There were a good number of birders out this morning looking for a rare sparrow sighted nearby. I noticed the following optics:

what happened to the eyecups of the Swarovski and the Omegon?

A strange reflection effect off the bright edges... and one Swaro eyecup obviously moved during the exposure.
(Or perhaps an AI processing mistake on a cell phone?)

This weekend I spotted my first Swaro NL Pure (42) out in the wild.

Others: Zeiss SF 42, a Celestron 42, an older Nikon Monarch 42 model and a 40 or 42mm Porro (unknown brand).

I saw a couple with matching pairs of 8x32 Trinovid BNs. I commented on them, telling them that it was unusual to see one pair of those, much more so to see two. They were nice. They asked me about my binoculars as well. I discovered that they were just being polite and were not very knowledgeable about binoculars while I was telling them about my 7x42 FLs. They were knowledgeable about birds though.
