Can anyone help to ID this bird call? Recorded this morning in a small wood, near a lake. There was a raven and some jays around at the time. Thanks!

(I can't get the soundcloud link to work, unfortunately, so I've put the address in code tags so it's possible to copy and paste -- I hope that's OK)

Hello, also no definitve answer from me, but Water Rails can make some weird sounds, too. And the last single note reminds me of this species. And I know, that this species is one of the main confusion risks with Little Crake calls, so I hope for others to jump in here, too.
