Bird ID Northern NJ 5/9/19 (1 Viewer)

Hello!

Just went on a hike earlier this month with my camera, and saw this little bird hopping around. Just getting into the world of bird ID, and need a lot of help to learn the local species. It was about halfway up a forested mountain in Northern New Jersey, close to the southern New York border, taken at just before 10AM, and it looked like it was foraging for food.

Maybe a hermit thrush? I'm not really sure, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! That helps a lot! There were a couple darting around in and out of sight with similar coloration so I didn't realize there was more than one species there.

Have a nice day and God bless!
