Hello all! I have recently developed an interest in bird watching/ IDing and my mom loves them too. She took a picture of a bird in her window, she lives in a rural area outside Cincinnati, Ohio. There are a lot of migratory birds this time of year and being new to this, I couldn't figure out what it is. I guess maybe a Pine or Magnolia Warbler, but the colors don't seem exact. Does anyone know? Thanks!!
Susanne

It's a Northern Parula. I live in SW OH too, about 50 miles north of Cincinnati

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum (y)
We're glad you found us and thanks for taking a moment to say hello. Please join in wherever you like ;)

Although I've never seen one, it is quite a beautiful female Parula! I've seen males but never a female :(

Thanks for the warm welcome and glad I found the site! I really appreciate the help. I'm sure I'll have more questions as I continue to get out with the birds 😉
