Good morning. Can anyone help identify this bird? The photo isn't that good but it has black on each breast with a grey line going down the middle. I have looked and cannot identify it to save my life. Unless it is molting which it could also be.

Thank you for the help

Bill

Hi W_Doyle and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. I'm not sure, but my very first thought was a Northern Mockingbird, it would be a youngster if I'm right. But wait for others to come in who know your species better.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing about the birds you see around you.

Thank you! I like to keep a log of the different birds. The one above, I couldn't identify. It is mostly the same birds every day but that could be the bird seed I am using, too. This is also reminds me of my Father. He used to love this as well.
It looks like a Brown-headed Cowbird to me. It's moulting into male plumage, hence it looks a bit unusua
I'll have to wait until later in the Summer, wherever I look online it says the same thing, a cow bird. Thank you!

Thank you. We don't get a lot of those birds around here. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen one till the past couple of days.
